Some like it hot, some dont.

I had an appointment with a potential distributor on the phone at 6.30pm for a follow up call.
She works through the day 8-4pm so I decided to text her to confirm and move it a little earlier, as I have an appointment with a life insurance guy (yet another prospect yes.)
She text back and advised that she had to go and see her mother in wales due to something unexpected.
Two things you learn from this.
Good job I confirmed otherwise I would have wasted my time.
Dont take ages to follow up. Statistics prove that every day your prospect loses around 25% interest. Now she could come back to me but, I will have to wait and see.
In the meantime I ordered my bathroom carpet, I was very impressed the owner remembered me, and we arranged the colour style for the bathroom etc.
Afterwards I said that I would be coming back to him for my stair carpet, but I had to arrange to get a combi boiler fitted. He immediatly recommended a firm over the road who did just the thing.
So I asked him if I could leave some information about my business and follow up with him on friday. And now I have yet another prospect on my list, that I believe we can do alot of business together in the future. So he is coming round tomorrow at 2 to give me a estimate for all the works. I just need to find the money, which means my urgency just went up and I have to work harder. So I need to prospect another ten businesses, I think I will pay some industrial estates a visit tomorrow perhaps.
